Artist Statement: Someone once asked me if I set out to be a wedding photographer and truth be told, I never did. I picked up a camera while I was in high school to photograph a small church wedding, simply documenting the day as it unfolded. It didn't have a planner or an elaborate design, but it was filled with really good people. And I love people. I fell in love with the idea that I could help others remember how a moment felt, even if was only for a split second. I didn't have a shots list of moments that I had to get or expectations from the clients of what the end result would look like. I met people who cared a lot more about the process than just the product. It's hard to photograph weddings and not be in awe. I just wanted to remember it all. So I guess you could call me a photographer, but really I'm a storyteller, and I have a million more stories I want to tell. It's all wired deep in me: the desire to document, the desire for connect, the desire to create.

I. PREPARATION

 II. CONNECTION

III. CELEBRATION

The first part of the storyline. That feeling of butterflies in your stomach the morning of your wedding that takes you back to the feeling of your first date. The tables begin to be set. The process of getting ready. The waiting, the anticipation, the excitement, the nerves: preparation.

Documenting you, and those you love most, exactly as you are.

The end of the night. All of your people gathered together in one space here for you. The tables are set and dinner is served. It's time to change into your dancing shoes. It's time to be fully present with your people. I hope your table is full and you dance all night long.
