Stephanie Long and RC Sim’s eloped in Kanab, Utah alongside their immediate families on September 1, 2024. Stephanie flew with her Joon Bridal wedding dress and floral bouquet designed in Arkansas by Samantha’s Garden.
While Utah is a very romantic place to get married, Stephanie and RC’s story started at a little less of a romantic spot, their gym. “We met on campus, I was a student attending the fitness center and he was my cycling instructor for two semesters. My friend and I would regular make fun of his terrible playlist where he only played Marshmello and ran this video of someone biking along the coast for the entire hour. After I graduated, we went on our first date that summer and over 5 years later I still get to see my crush at the gym everyday.”
Lauren and I spent the morning of the wedding exploring locations around the Airbnb for portraits in Kanab. “On our wedding day, we had two separate Airbnb’s, one for us and one for our family. A few of us were on the way back from getting our hair and makeup done and when we got there a couple family members walked in we didn’t see RC. My brother told me that RC decided he needed to get some steps in and decided to run the 5 miles to our Airbnb for our ceremony. Leave it to him to be a runaway groom, just thankful he ran to the ceremony and not away!”
Stephanie and RC’s Kanab Utah elopement was a dream to hear the vision of from the very beginning. “For our wedding, we wanted something fun and different. We knew southern Utah was the perfect little getaway for our vows. Aside from the breathtaking views around us, our favorite part of the day had to be reading our private vows from one another. On our wedding day, nothing else mattered except for us!!”
